"I would rather have one good friend by my side than 100,000 followers on Twitter."
I had to remind myself of this recently after reading a comment on how a person finds personal satisfaction in the number of followers they have on Twitter. I place more value on that single person I can call on the phone, night or day, and talk philosophy with - it takes more than 140 characters. I value a person that can deliver a hard message with a set of eyes that says, I am doing this because I care. How does a 100,000 followers on Twitter compare to that single person?
